Molecular precision for maximum safety.
HYDROSENS technology
Icefinder is based on HYDROSENS technology. This is a hydrophilic multi-layer carbon nanostructure that is specifically applied to metallic or composite surfaces. This layer is only a few micrometers thick and does not significantly affect the component’s aerodynamics or weight.
Due to the nanostructure’s extremely high specific surface area, the sensor reacts even to the adsorption of individual water molecules from the ambient air. The electrical resistance of the layer changes in a measurable and characteristic pattern that is detected by our evaluation electronics.
